Description & Operation

Disc/drum brake system is hydraulically operated, using a master cylinder with a single reservoir and 2 outlets. A vacuum assist power brake unit is used. Proportioning valves are used to control anti-skid braking action. Mechanical parking brake system is self-adjusting.

Disc brake pads have built-in wear indicator warning sensors. When brake pad lining is low, sensor will rub against rotor, causing a very notable squealing sound.
