Seat Belt Warning Switch

  1. Disconnect seat belt switch connector, located near belt buckle. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between switch terminals. Ohmmeter should indicate infinite ohms (no continuity) with seat belt fastened and zero ohms (continuity) with it released.
  2. On models with passive seat belt, also disconnect lap belt switch connector. SeeFig 1 . Using ohmmeter, check continuity between switch terminals No. 1 and 3. Ohmmeter should indicate infinite ohms (no continuity) with seat belt fastened and zero ohms (continuity) with it released.
