KICKDOWN Servo: Adjustment

  1. Remove kickdown servo switch. Remove snap ring and cover.
  2. Loosen lock nut. Hold kickdown servo piston with Kickdown Servo Wrench (09454-33000). See Fig 1 . Tighten adjustment screw to 87 INCH lbs. (9.8 N.m). Back out adjustment screw 2 full turns.
  3. Tighten adjustment screw to 43 INCH lbs. (4.9 N.m). Back out adjustment screw 2-2 1/4 turns. Hold kickdown servo piston, and tighten lock nut to 18-24 ft. lbs. (25-32 N.m).
  4. Install NEW "O" ring in groove around cover. Install cover and snap ring in case. Install kickdown servo switch, and tighten screw to 9-12 INCH lbs. (1.0-1.4 N.m).
