Shift Control Solenoid Valve "A" Or "B"

  1. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between transaxle case and solenoid valve connector terminal No. 3 or terminal No. 4. See Figure . Resistance should be 21-24 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, check for short circuit, damaged or disconnected wire. If wire is okay, replace SCSV.
  2. Connect 12 volts to terminal No. 3 or 4 of solenoid valve. Ensure transaxle case is grounded. Listen for clicking noise as voltage is applied and removed. If clicking noise is heard, valve is operating. If clicking noise is not heard, check for residue accumulated in valve. If valve is okay, replace SCSV.
