Oil Temperature Sensor

Using ohmmeter, check resistance between sensor terminals while varying temperature from low to high. If resistance reading changes smoothly as temperature is varied from low to high, sensor is okay. If resistance reading does not change smoothly, or resistance does not exist, check wire harness. If wire harness is okay, replace oil temperature sensor.
