KICKDOWN Servo Switch

  1. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between switch connector terminal No. 1 (terminal No. 7 on KM177 transaxle) and transaxle case. See Fig 1 . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, check for poor connection, damaged or disconnected wire. If wire is okay, replace kickdown servo switch.
  2. Apply parking brake, and start engine. Place selector lever in "L" position and allow engine to idle. Check continuity between switch connector terminal No. 1 (terminal No. 7 on KM177 transaxle) and transaxle case. If continuity does not exist, servo switch is okay. If continuity exists, replace servo switch.
