Inhibitor Switch
- Using ohmmeter, with selector lever in "P" position, ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 3 and 4, and between terminals No. 10 and 11. See Fig 1
. With selector lever in "R" position, ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 3 and 12, and between, terminals No. 8 and 9.
- With selector lever in "N" position, ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 3 and 5, and between terminals No. 10 and 11. With selector lever in "D" position, ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 1 and 3.
- With selector lever in "2" position, ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 3 and 6. With selector lever in "L" position, ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 2 and 3.
- If, continuity is as specified, inhibitor switch is okay. If continuity is not as specified, check for poor connection, damaged or disconnected wire. If wire is okay, replace inhibitor switch.
