Damper Clutch Control Solenoid Valve
- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between solenoid valve connector terminal No. 1 and transaxle case. See Fig 1
. Resistance should be 3 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, check for shorted, damaged or disconnected wire. If wire is okay, replace Damper Clutch Control Solenoid Valve (DCCSV).
- Connect 12 volts to terminal No. 1 of solenoid valve. Ensure transaxle case is grounded. Listen for clicking noise when voltage is applied and removed. If clicking noise is heard, valve is operating. If clicking noise is not heard, check for sticking solenoid at release side of valve. If valve is okay, check for foreign material caught between valve and valve guide. If foreign material is not found, replace DCCSV.
