Rear Clutch: Disassembly

  1. Remove large snap ring and clutch reaction plate. Remove and count number of lined plates and steel plates. Record number of plates for reassembly reference. Remove pressure plate. If plates are to be reused, keep them in same order and direction of removal for reassembly.
  2. Remove seal ring, snap ring and thrust race. See Fig 1 . Use Spring Compressor (09453-21000) to compress return spring and piston. Remove wave spring, return spring and piston. Remove 2 "D" shaped rings from piston.
