Oil Pump: Disassembly

  1. Remove bolts to separate pump housing from reaction shaft support. See Fig 1 . If pump gears are to be reused, mark gears so they can be reinstalled in original positions.
    2. NOTE: KM177 transaxle does not have lock-up clutch. KM177 transaxle oil pump DOES NOT use seal ring and snap ring between drive gear and driven gear. See Fig 1 .
  2. Remove drive and driven gears from pump housing. Remove steel ball from pump housing. Remove 2 seal rings from reaction shaft support. Pry out pump housing oil seal.
