Front Clutch: Disassembly

Remove large snap ring. Remove and count number of steel plates and lined plates. Record number of plates for reassembly reference. If plates are to be reused, keep them in same order and direction of removal for reassembly. See Fig 1 .
Using Spring Compressor (09453-21000), compress return spring. Remove small snap ring, spring retainer and return spring. Remove piston from front clutch. Remove "D" shaped rings from piston and front clutch retainer.
