End Clutch: Disassembly

  1. Remove large snap ring and reaction plate. Remove and count number of lined plates and steel plates. See Fig 1 . Record number of plates for reassembly reference. If plates are to be reused, keep them in same order and direction of removal for reassembly.
  2. Compress piston, and remove piston snap ring. Remove return spring, washer and piston. Remove seal ring from clutch retainer. Remove "D" shaped rings and oil seal from piston.
