Proportioning Valve: Excel

  1. Acquire 2 pressure gauges that will measure to at least 2000 psi (140.6 kg/cm2 ). Attach pressure gauges to the input and output sides of proportioning valve. See Fig 1 .

  2. Measure the input and output pressures with brakes applied. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 . If measured pressures are NOT within range, replace proportioning valve. See PROPORTIONING VALVE PRESSURE CHART. See Fig 2 . DO NOT disassemble proportioning valve.
