Installation (Excel & Scoupe)

To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten axle self-locking nut to 108-145 ft. lbs. (147-196 N.m) while rotating wheel. Check end play using dial indicator. Position indicator plunger tip on axle flange rim nearest spindle. With parking brake off, move drum/hub assembly in and out. Maximum limit of end play allowed is .0043" (.11 mm). If end play exceeds limit, replace wheel bearings.
