Master Cylinder: Removal
- Remove fluid level sensor harness connector. Remove brake lines and proportioning valves from master cylinder. On Excel models, proportioning valve is not attached directly to master cylinder. Plug fitting holes in master cylinder to prevent brake fluid spillage on painted or plastic surfaces.
- Remove master cylinder from brake booster unit. Drain master cylinder brake fluid into a suitable container. Separate reservoir from housing and clean out reservoir. See Figure through Figure .
