Removal (1.5L)

  1. Remove breather hose and air cleaner. Remove timing belt cover. Remove rocker arm cover. Move timing belt tensioner toward water pump and secure. Remove timing belt from camshaft sprocket only. Remove camshaft sprocket.
  2. Loosen rocker shaft mounting bolts and lift off rocker shaft, rocker arms and springs as an assembly. Remove bolts from shafts and slide off springs and rocker arms.
