Jet Valves: Installation

  1. Install new jet valve seal using Jet Valve Stem Seal Installer (MD998308). Apply oil to jet valve stem and install jet valve into body. Ensure jet valve stem slides smoothly in body.
  2. Compress spring using spring pliers. Install spring, retainer and retainer lock. DO NOT  damage valve stem seal with bottom of retainer during installation. Install new "O" ring in jet valve body groove and lubricate with a light coat of oil.
  3. Lubricate threaded portion and seating surface of jet valve assembly. Install jet valve assembly finger-tight. Tighten jet valve to specification using jet valve socket.
