Engine may be identified from the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The VIN is stamped in a metal tag attached to upper left corner of instrument panel near windshield. The eighth character of the VIN identifies the engine size and the tenth character identifies the model year. Engine model code and serial number are stamped on top edge of engine block just below No. 1 spark plug on right side of block.
