Front Seat Back Cushion Cover & Cushion Pad Replacement (without HP2)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (without HP2)  or Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (with HP2) .
  2. Remove the front seat back panel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (with HP2)  or Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (without HP2) .
  3. Remove the front seat lumbar actuator knob, if equipped. Refer to Driver Seat Lumbar Support Actuator Knob Replacement (with HP2)  or Driver Seat Lumbar Support Actuator Knob Replacement (without HP2) .
  4. Remove the front seat adjuster outer finish cover. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (with HP2)  or Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Manual Seat without HP2)  or Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Power Seat without HP2) .
1 Front Seat Adjuster Inner Finish Cover
Refer to Front Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement (with HP2)  or Front Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement (without HP2) .
2 Front Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel
Procedure: 
Using a nylon flat-bladed tool push the tabs in on the side of the panel to release from the seat back to remove.
3 Front Seat Head Restraint Assembly

Procedure

  1. Depress the button on the inboard head restraint guide to raise the head restraint to the full up position.
  2. Insert a small diameter tool into the hole on the inboard side of the outboard head restraint guide and pull upward to remove.
4 Front Seat Head Restraint Guide (Qty: 2)
Procedure: 
Squeeze the bottom of the guide together and push up to remove from the seat back.
5 Seat Back Cushion Cover

Procedure

  1. Disengage the j-channel retainers from the seat back cushion frame.
  2. Remove the rear seat recliner to seat cushion frame bolt on each side and tilt the seat back forward to make it easier to remove and install the cover.
  3. Disconnect the blower from the seat back cushion pad, if equipped.
  4. Remove the air duct, if equipped.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors that attach to the seat back cushion, if equipped.
  6. Remove the seat back cushion cover and pad from the seat cushion frame as an assembly.
  7. Pull the cover away from the pad to disengage the retainers
