Hood Secondary Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the side hood bumper. Refer to Hood Side Bumper Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the upper hood latch (1) from the hood.




4. Remove the two fasteners (1) that retain the hood latch receiver (2) to the fender extension.
5. Remove the hood latch receiver (2) from the fender extension.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the hood latch receiver (2) to the fender extension.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the fasteners (1) that retain the hood latch receiver (2) to the fender extension.

Tighten the fasteners to 9 Nm (7 lb ft).
