Digital Radio Antenna Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Use care when removing or installing the headliner. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.




1. Lower the front of the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUV) (Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUV))Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUT) (Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUT)).
2. Remove the instrument panel insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement (Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement).
3. Remove the right instrument panel side trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Side Trim Panel Replacement (Instrument Panel Side Trim Panel Replacement).
4. Disconnect the three in one antenna cable from the antenna.

Note: Note the antenna cable routing, clip and tape location during dis-assembly in order to route the cable back to factory routing.

5. Remove tape retaining cable assembly to body harness.




6. Disconnect the three in one cable inline connector at the right side lower IP
7. Attach mechanic wire to cable and remove through right side of IP.

Installation Procedure




1. Attach the mechanics wire, used during removal, to the end of the antenna cable.
2. Connect the antenna cable to the inline connector.
3. Tape retaining cable assembly to body harness.
4. Connect the three in one cable to the antenna.




5. Install the right instrument panel side trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Side Trim Panel Replacement (Instrument Panel Side Trim Panel Replacement).
6. Install the instrument panel insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement (Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement).
7. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUV) (Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUV))Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUT) (Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUT)).
