Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Mark the hood latch location on the hood latch support (1) with a grease pencil.
    3. Fig 1: Identifying Hood Latch Fasteners & Cable Retainer

    NOTE: Do not crimp the hood latch release cable.
  3. Remove the fasteners (2) from the latch.
  4. Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the hood latch by squeezing the hood release cable retainer (3).
  5. Remove the hood latch from the hood latch support bracket.
