Evaporative Emission System Hoses/Pipes Replacement

Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Pipe Caution (Technician Safety Information) .
Caution: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Caution (Service Precautions) .

Notice: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Notice (Vehicle Damage Warnings) .






1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Removal and Replacement) .
2. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) in order to disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe (2) from the following:

* The fuel tank module
* The fuel tank vent valve

3. Disengage the EVAP pipe from the clip on the fuel tank.



Installation Procedure





1. Secure the EVAP pipe (2) to the clip on the fuel tank.
2. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) in order to connect the EVAP pipe to the following:

* The fuel tank module
* The fuel tank vent valve

3. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Removal and Replacement) .
