Installation Procedure

Install the O-ring seal (3) on the vehicle speed sensor (1).
Coat the O-ring seal (3) with a thin film of transmission fluid.
Install the vehicle speed sensor (1) into the transmission case.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the bolt (2) and tighten to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
Connect the wiring harness electrical connector to the vehicle speed sensor.
Lower the vehicle.
Refill the fluid as required.
