Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac STS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the transmission mount support assembly to the vehicle.
    2. Fig 1: View Of Transfer Case Mounting Bolts

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
    IMPORTANT: The transmission mount bolts must be tightened in the proper order.
  2. Install by hand the transmission mount support to transfer case mounting bolts.

    Tighten: 

    1. Tighten the left side bolt to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the right side bolt to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).

  3. Install the transmission mount support to body mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).

  4. Install the transmission vent hose to the retainers (6) on the mount assembly.
  5. Remove the transmission jack.
  6. Install the exhaust system.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
