Brake Intermediate Hose Replacement

Callout Component Name
CAUTION: Refer to Bleed Procedure Caution .
CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
1 Brake Pipe Fitting (Qty: 2)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Procedure: 
Cap the brake pipe to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

Tighten:  19 N.m (14 lb ft)

2 Brake Hose Retaining Clip (Qty: 2)
3 Brake Pipe Fitting (Qty: 2)
Procedure: 
Cap the brake pipe to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

Tighten:  19 N.m (14 lb ft)

4 Brake Hose Retaining Clip (Qty: 2)
5 Intermediate Brake Hose (Qty: 2)
Procedure: 
After the installation is complete, bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual without RPO BRM)  or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual with RPO BRM)  or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure without RPO BRM)  or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure with RPO BRM) .
