Seat Belt System Circuit Description

The seat belt indicator will illuminate when the following conditions occur simultaneously:

• The ignition switch is in one of the following positions:
  • RUN
  • BULB TEST
  • START
• The LF seat belt is not fastened.

The audio alarm, located within the radio/amplifier, also incorporates an indicator within the instrument panel cluster (IPC). The seat belt indicator works in conjunction with the audio alarm. When the SDM receives a signal that the LF seat belt is unfastened, the SDM sends a signal to the IPC to command ON the seat belt indicator and to the radio/amplifier to command ON the audible alarm.
