Circuit/System Testing

Passenger Power Window Inoperative from Driver Switch
- Install a scan tool and display the Driver Door Switch Inputs data list.
- Activate the passenger window switch in the up, down, and express down positions and verify that the Passenger LF Window Switch displays the correct parameter in relation to the actual switch position.
- If the switch parameter is incorrect, replace the DDS.
- Display the Passenger Door Switch Inputs data list.
- Activate the passenger window switch in the up, down, and express down positions and verify that the Passenger Window Switch displays the correct parameter in relation to the actual switch position.
- If the switch parameter is incorrect, replace the PDS.
- Disconnect the power window motor connector and connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminals in the harness connector.
- Verify that the test lamp illuminates when the switch is activated in both directions.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the window motor control circuits for a open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal replace the PDS.
- If the circuits test normal replace the passenger window motor.
