Accumulator Replacement

Accumulator Replacement

Callout Component Name
Preliminary Procedure: 
Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
1 Nut, Suction Hose
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  16 N.m (12 lb in)


Tip:  Large A/C compressor hose to A/C evaporator.
2 Hose, A/C Suction Hose
3 Washer, Sealing
Tip:  Remove and discard sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
4 Nut, Accumulator Mounting Bracket

Tighten:  16 N.m (12 lb in)

5 Nut, Accumulator

Tighten:  16 N.m (12 lb in)

6 Washer, Sealing
Tip:  Remove and discard sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
7 Accumulator
Tip:  Replacement service Accumulators are shipped dry (no PAG oil). Add proper amount of oil to system before operating. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities
