Assist Step Replacement (Manual)

Preliminary Procedure: Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
1	Bracket to Assist Step Bolt NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2	Bracket to Assist Step Bolt Tighten: 6 N.m (53 lb in)
3	Bracket to Rocker Panel Bolts (Qty: 2) Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
4	Bracket to Rocker Panel Nuts (Qty: 2) Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
5	Bracket to Assist Step Bolt (Qty: 2) Tighten: 6 N.m (53 lb in)
6	Assist Step Tip: Install the brackets to the assist step prior to installing the assist step to the vehicle.
