Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement .
  3. Remove the steering linkage outer tie rod ends. Refer to Tie Rod Replacement - Outer .
  4. Remove the inner tie rod ends using the J 34028  (2). See Special Tools .
