Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Support the rear axle.
  3. Disconnect the air suspension level sensor (if equipped). Refer to Air Spring Leveling Sensor Replacement .
    4. Fig 1: Upper & Lower Shock Absorber Nut & Bolt

  4. Remove the upper shock absorber nut and the bolt.
  5. Remove the lower shock absorber nut and the bolt.
  6. Remove the shock absorber.
