Valve Body, Control Solenoid Torque Sequence

Valve Body, Control Solenoid Torque Sequence

Callout Component Name
CAUTION:

Bolt torque sequencing is critical to the proper function of the control solenoid valve assembly. Failure to follow the required sequencing may result in transmission malfunction.

Preliminary Procedure The 2 heat sink bolts must be tightened last.
1 Control Valve Body Bolts M6 x1.0 x 55 (Qty: 31)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Tighten all 31 bolts in the sequence shown.
Tighten 
11 N.m (97 lb in)
2 Control Solenoid Valve Heat Sink (w/Body and TCM) Bolt M5 x.8 x 53 (Qty: 2).
TIP:  To ensure valve body to control solenoid assembly are properly aligned, inspect contact gap, see the following procedure.
Tighten 
7 N.m (62 lb in)
