Conditions for Setting the DTC

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) sends a message to the ECM indicating that a failure has occurred in the EBCM.
Engine misfire is detected and DTC P0300 sets with the MIL illuminated.

An EBCM malfunction exists for greater than 10 s, preventing the ECM from receiving rough road detection data.
