Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2012 GMC Yukon XL, 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2012 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, remove the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly. Refer to Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Replacement .
- Connect the DT-47825-10 jumper harness between the vehicle wire harness electrical connector and the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly electrical connector.
- Ignition ON, test for 8.3-9.3 volts between the ISS/OSS voltage circuit terminal B on the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly and ground at the transmission case.
- If not between 8.3-9.3 volts
Replace the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly.
- If between 8.3-9.3 volts
- If not between 8.3-9.3 volts
- Perform the Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Input Shaft Speed/Output Shaft Speed Input Test .
- If the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly does not pass the ISS/OSS test
Replace the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly.
- If the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly passes the ISS/OSS test
- If the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly does not pass the ISS/OSS test
- Inspect the machined teeth on the 1-2-3-4 and 3-5 clutch housing outer surfaces for damage or misalignment.
- If the machined surfaces are incorrect, damaged, or improper alignment
- If the machined surfaces and alignment checks OK
- Replace the B14A/B14C ISS/OSS assembly.
NOTE:
You must perform the Circuit/System Verification first.
