Circuit/System Verification

- Verify transmission fluid level and condition. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check .
- Operate the vehicle to normal engine temperature is reached. Verify with a scan tool the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor parameter is less than 125°C (257°F).
- If greater than the specified value

- If less than the specified value
- If greater than the specified value
- Operate the vehicle till normal engine temperature is reached. Verify with a scan tool, the TCM temperature parameter is less than 142°C (287°F).
- If greater than the specified value
Inspect the transmission fluid lines for being misrouted, kinked, or damage.
- If less than the specified value
- If greater than the specified value
- If all items test normal, replace the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly.
- After performing the above steps, verify that the DTC does not reset by operating the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions you observe from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data. If the vehicle passes the Circuit/System Verification procedure, then STOP. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .
