Input Shaft Pilot Bearing Replacement

Input Shaft Pilot Bearing Replacement

Callout Component Name
Preliminary Procedure 
Ensure the bearing is installed squarely into the input shaft bore.
1 Transfer Case Input Shaft Pilot Bearing
  • Using a suitable adapter and an arbor press, remove the input shaft pilot bearing by going through the front of the input gear.
  • Install the bearing using the small side of the DT-48212  bearing installer.
  • Press the bearing until the tool bottoms on the input shaft.
