Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify that DTC P0A8D or P0A8E is not set.
  2. Ignition OFF, measure and record the battery voltage at the battery terminals. The battery voltage should be between 12.4 and 12.8 V within a few minutes of turning the ignition OFF.
  3. Engine running, accessories OFF, measure and record the battery voltage at the battery terminals. The voltage should be at least 1 V greater than the voltage measured in step 1 but less than 15.5 V.
  4. Observe the scan tool drive motor generator battery control module, Control Module Voltage parameter. The reading should be within 1 V of the battery voltage.
