Circuit/System Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2012 Cadillac Escalade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The system contains twenty battery modules. Each module contains two 7.2 V cells for a total nominal system voltage of 288 V. Each battery module is rated at 14.4 V direct current (DC) and all the modules are connected together in series. The drive motor generator battery is also referred to as the hybrid battery.
The high voltage direct current (DC) voltage system is protected by a 125 A fuse. The fuse is located in the high voltage manual disconnect lever and can only be serviced by replacing the high voltage manual disconnect lever. The fuse is located between the negative and positive terminals at hybrid battery 11.
