Removal Procedure

- Remove the steering gear. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement (Recirculating Ball Without LMM) , Steering Gear Replacement (HP2) , Steering Gear Replacement (Hydraulic Rack and Pinion) .
- Remove the power steering gear inlet hose retaining plate bolt (1) and the power steering gear inlet hose retaining plate (2).
- Loosen both steering gear cylinder pipe fittings (3) on the steering gear (4).
- Remove both steering gear cylinder pipes (2) from the steering gear (4).
- Remove and discard the steering gear cylinder pipe seals (1) from the steering gear (4).
NOTE:
Protect the steering gear boots from sharp tools and from the sharp edges of surrounding components.
