Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2012 GMC Yukon XL, 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2012 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the brake caliper to the caliper mounting bracket.
- Install brake caliper guide pin bolts and tighten to 108 N.m (80 lb ft).
- Remove the cap or plug from the brake hose to caliper fitting.
- Assemble the 2 copper brake hose gaskets to the brake to caliper bolt and the brake hose.
- Install the brake hose to caliper bolt and tighten to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
- Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) , Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Two-mode Hybrid) , Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Fill the master cylinder reservoir to the proper level with clean brake fluid, if necessary. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling .
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
Install 2 NEW copper brake hose gaskets.
