Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2012 Cadillac Escalade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) controls the vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) by monitoring the inputs from the yaw rate/lateral accelerometer sensor, wheel speed sensors and steering wheel angle sensor. All of the sensors need to correlate to the vehicle dynamics during the initial drive off in order to enable VSES. Normally this takes place within 100 meters (110 yards).
