Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2012 Cadillac Escalade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The yaw rate, lateral acceleration and longitudinal acceleration sensors are combined into one yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor, external to the electronic brake control module (EBCM). The EBCM supplies ignition voltage to the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor. The vehicle stability enhancement system uses the lateral accelerometer input when calculating the desired yaw rate. The EBCM receives the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor data from dedicated serial data circuits.
