Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Hummer H2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    NOTE: Do not start the vehicle with any power steering gear inlet or outlet hoses disconnected. When disconnected, plug or cap all openings of components. Failure to do so could result in contamination or loss of power steering fluid and damage to the system.
  1. Position a drain pan under the vehicle.

    IMPORTANT: While performing service on power steering system components that are disconnected, plug or cap all openings. Failure to do so could result in contamination or loss of power steering fluid and damage to the system
  2. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the brake booster outlet hose (2) from the brake booster.

  3. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the brake booster outlet hose (2) from the power steering pump.
    4. IMPORTANT: Note the brake booster outlet hose routing prior to removal to aid during installation.
  4. Remove the brake booster outlet hose from the vehicle.
