Tilt Motor Replacement

Tilt Motor Replacement

Callout Component Name
Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator. Refer to Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control Actuator Replacement .
1 Tilt Motor Cable
Procedure 
Squeeze the sides of the connector at each end to release the tilt motor cable assembly.
2 Tilt Motor Bracket Bolt (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
2 N.m (18 lb in)
3 Tilt Motor

Procedure

  1. Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
  2. The steering column tilt head must be tilted straight to the steering column assembly before removing or installing the tilt motor or misalignment may occur.
  3. After repairs, calibrate the power tilt steering column. Refer to Power Tilt Steering Column Calibration .
