Removal Procedure

  1. Release the park brake.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Loosen the intermediate park brake cable equalizer nut (1).

  5. Disconnect the right rear park brake cable (1) from the equalizer.
  6. Release the right rear park brake cable from the frame bracket by compressing the locking tabs and pulling the cable conduit rearward.
  7. Release the park brake cable from the park brake cable guides on the vehicle frame.

  9. Remove the park brake cable from the track bar clips.

  11. Remove the park brake cable from the actuator lever.
  12. Remove the cable from the backing plate by depressing the locking tabs.
  13. Remove the cable from the retaining bracket.
  14. Remove the park brake cable.
