Removal Procedure

- Release the park brake.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Loosen the intermediate park brake cable equalizer nut (1).
- Disconnect the right rear park brake cable (1) from the equalizer.
- Release the right rear park brake cable from the frame bracket by compressing the locking tabs and pulling the cable conduit rearward.
- Release the park brake cable from the park brake cable guides on the vehicle frame.
- Remove the park brake cable from the track bar clips.
- Remove the park brake cable from the actuator lever.
- Remove the cable from the backing plate by depressing the locking tabs.
- Remove the cable from the retaining bracket.
- Remove the park brake cable.
