Installation Procedure

  1. Install the park brake cable taking care to correctly route the cable through the guides and the body mounts.
  2. Install the park brake cable to the backing plate by pressing the cable into place until the tabs lock into place.
  3. Install the cable to the actuator lever.

  5. Install the park brake cable to the track bar and secure in place with the clips. Verify the clips are installed between the locators on the track bar.

  7. Connect the right rear park brake cable (1) to the equalizer.
  8. Insert the park brake cable conduit into the frame bracket.

    Ensure the locking tabs on the cable conduit are fully engaged into the frame bracket.

  9. Enable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling .
  10. Adjust the park brake. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment (1500) , Parking Brake Adjustment (2500) .
