Removal Procedure

  1. Release the park brake.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  4. Remove the parking brake equalizer adjuster nut (1).

  6. Compress the locking tabs and release the left rear parking brake cable retainer (1) from the frame.

  8. Pull the parking brake cable through the parking brake cable guides (1) on the left frame rail.

  10. Remove the parking brake cable bracket bolt (1).

  12. Disconnect the parking brake cable eye (1) from the parking brake actuator lever.
  13. Release the parking brake cable locking tabs, remove the parking brake cable from the cable bracket by compressing the parking brake cable spring toward the cable eye and passing the cable through the cable bracket slot.
  14. Remove the parking brake cable.
