Removal Procedure

  1. Ensure the park brake is released.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Loosen the intermediate park brake cable equalizer nut (1).

  5. Disconnect the left rear park brake cable (1) from the intermediate park brake cable equalizer.
  6. Release the left rear park brake cable from the frame bracket by compressing the cable conduit tabs and pulling the cable assembly rearward.
  7. Release the park brake cable from the park brake cable guides on the vehicle frame.

  9. Remove the park brake cable (1) from the bracket by compressing the locking tabs.
  10. Disconnect the park brake cable eye (2) from the park brake actuator lever.
  11. Remove the park brake cable from the vehicle.
