Removal Procedure

- Release the park brake.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Drill a 3 mm (1/8 in) hole through the dimple in the right parking brake cable connector (1) where the front parking brake cable is connected.
- Pull the parking brake equalizer forward and disconnect the right rear parking brake cable connector from the front parking brake cable.
- Drill a 3 mm (1/8 in) hole through the dimple in the intermediate parking brake cable connector where the front parking brake cable (1) is connected.
- Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the intermediate parking brake cable.
- Remove the intermediate parking brake cable.
